Powder Mountain with Wild Bill at Manchaca Springs Saloon

Our kin Wild Bill, jumped on a plane and came down to hang out so we deputized him as an Honorary Faux McCoy.

This song is about the greatest snow on earth at Powder Mountain in Eden, Utah.

Lyrics:

Powder Mountain Way up high in the mountains of Eden, there is a place I love
I couldn’t holler praise up any louder Because the place is beautiful
and it’s full of deep white powder

Ol’ powder mountain, Ol’ powder mountain – Heaven on earth I swear
Ol’ powder mountain, Ol’ powder mountain – I’ll see y’all cool kids there

In 87, got my first snowboard, weren’t none to teach me ‘cept the good Lord
Got a concussion, broke my Scott shades after a 12 times I really had it made
bussed to the city to get to high school, just a farm boy, that never broke a rule
I met punks and skaters, we got along just fine
Takin’ North Ogden pass all the way to Timberline

Ol’ powder mountain, Ol’ powder mountain – Heaven on earth I swear
Ol’ powder mountain, Ol’ powder mountain – I’ll see y’all cool kids there

J Rod, Johnny Z, Bill, Hess, n Jer, up Ol’ Pow Mtn all my friends were there
Learned to carve, get some air, a front flip, tried a 360, never got the hang of it
It didn’t help my snowboard weighed 30 pounds,
I got wise, changed my life, and became a Powder Hound

Ol’ powder mountain, Ol’ powder mountain – Heaven on earth I swear
Ol’ powder mountain, Ol’ powder mountain – I’ll see y’all cool kids there

After year 2000, I hadn’t ridden a mountain in 15 long years
Met with my pals and grabbed some beers
We went to riding Powder Mountain against my kins fears
Up at the top, couldn’t holler any louder, praised the good Lord
there was tons of fresh powder

Rode all day, didn’t wreck at all, I knew my old bones would not survive a fall
Made it to home safe to my lovin’ wife,
she was mightily impressed ‘cause she feared for my life

Ol’ powder mountain, Ol’ powder mountain – Heaven on earth I swear
Ol’ powder mountain, Ol’ powder mountain – I’ll see y’all cool kids there
